Phil Weeks - DJ MAG Weekly Podcast

Phil Weeks - DJ MAG Weekly Podcast
"Coming from the same school of blunted MPC skill as Chicago legend DJ Sneak, Parisian house gangster Phil Weeks has earned top marks for his jackin' filtered house sound. With his third album 'Raw Instrumentals' released last month on Robsoul, he dropped us this exclusive live mix from his appearance at the Homecoming party in Miami this year.
Mixing up classic US sounds – from the likes of the elusive Theo Parrish and Strictly legend George Morel – with the hordes of European producers inspired by it (such as Trentemoller and DJ W!ld), it's straight-up, groove-driven house goodness for the heads."

Demi (S.O.S) - DJ MAG Weekly Podcast 045 - July 2011

Handpicked by Danny Tenaglia to play at his Be Yourself parties on the strength of a mixtape (at a time when mixes were still on tape), Demi’s renown as a DJ was obvious even in the early stages of his career. Having since gone onto record a Radio 1 Essential Mix, plus record compilations for the long-running Balance series and Ministry of Sound, his most recent mix was ‘Sounds like Alola - Volume 2’ for the deep house label run by Omid 16B his partner in DJ duo SOS. His podcast threads together his extensive tastes, mixing Kate Bush with Pezzner, for a Balearic ride that will bring the sunshine even if it’s cloudy.
